RUBBERMAID COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS ANNOUNCES THE NEW GENERATION WAVEBRAKE® MOP BUCKET & WRINGER
RCP improves the industry-leading splash reduction and adds new features that surpass any other traditional mop bucket
Dallas, TX - (Oct. 30, 2018) – Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP), the leader in innovative, solutions-based commercial products, announced today the launch of the New Generation WaveBrake® Mop Bucket & Wringer at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN® Show. The New Generation WaveBrake features structural web-molded plastic construction to ensure the highest quality and durability you have come to expect from Rubbermaid Commercial Products, while delivering industry-leading performance. The New Generation WaveBrake allows users to clean floors with less effort to get the job done safer.
Through market research, we have found that 20% of all job-related injuries are caused by slips, trips, and fall injuries1. The New Generation WaveBrake’s patented baffles result in 80% less splashing2 while mopping and maneuvering, helping to create a safer environment for patrons and staff.
Additionally, the average mop bucket with water weighs up to 28 pounds. The New Generation WaveBrake’s optional foot-operated drain helps users empty mop buckets into floor drains, eliminating the strain associated with lifting and bending. For facilities where sinks are used, integrated handles, a sink ledge, and a pour spout provide control while lifting and emptying.
“After extensive end-user research, we have integrated features that help eliminate common pain points in the mopping process,” said Marta Aebischer, vice president of marketing for Rubbermaid Commercial Products. “A built-in drain and integrated handles eliminate the strain of lifting and bending when emptying mop buckets. We’ve also improved our patented WaveBrake baffles that help reduce splashing while mopping and maneuvering.”
The New Generation WaveBrake is designed and built to the highest standard for professional use. With an industry-leading warranty, the WaveBrake side-press and down-press wringers are guaranteed to last 5 years or 200,000 wringing cycles3. A durable wringer handle with a comfort grip, non-marking casters, and an optional dirty water bucket help improve worker productivity.
The previous version of the WaveBrake will be discontinued and replaced with this new version. The New Generation WaveBrake is available in 26-Qt, 35-Qt, and 44-Qt sizes, with a side-press or down-press wringer. A variety of colors are available to accommodate a color-coded cleaning system and help reduce cross-contamination.
